Thespian will be taking advantage of the wonderful new possibilities of AI but always with a focus on the creative expression between human beings, which the theater is all about. With Thespian you create your story, and AI tools will help make it a magical experience, but it will still be your creation. As the automated tools get more capable, the importance of human creativity grows.

We’re developing Thespian together with actors, directors, choreographers and stage builders, drawing on their unique expertise to create a magical experience that works for everyone. But the aim of the project is to bring stagecraft and visual storytelling to everyone, everywhere, at all ages.

We’ve chosen to create Thespian because we feel this is a project that needs to exist, and that will inspire people of all ages and all around the world to create together. With Thespian you are in possession of an entire theater, where only your imagination limits what you can do. Yet, stepping into it for the first time, it will feel natural, and inspiring. Standing on the stage of a theater will make you want to explore, and then to create. Here are just a few of the features you can look forward to.

A truly immersive experience

You will be able to experience Thespian through any medium, but the creative experience is designed to be immersive. Using state of the art VR and AR headsets or smart glasses, you will feel like you are actually standing on stage. Today the state of the art is already affordable and highly capable, but in a few years it will be everywhere. You will be able to create and interact wherever you are.

Reinvent yourself

The art of acting has always meant you can be anyone you want to be. And this is true for Thespian as well, but even more so. And not only that, you can be yourself if you want. Using digital twin technologies, you can create a Thespian actor using just three photos from our mobile app. And using AI, you will be able to create and direct digital actors and extras for your play.

Invite your audience

You will not need a VR headset to experience a play or performance created with Thespian, the audience will be able to enjoy it through a web player, mobile app or PC. But if you have a VR headset you will be able to experience a theater play in ways not possible before, wandering backstage in the midst of a play, observing the actors work as it happens.
